(Discourse based on the commentary by Madhusūdana Sarasvatī)
Śivamahimnaḥ stotram is a very popular stotra on Lord Śiva. It is believed to be composed by Puṣpadanta, a gandharva who was cursed by Lord Śiva, to seek his forgiveness.
These discourses were delivered by Sri. Shrivathsa B at the Shankara Matha, Bengaluru. An effort was made to stick to Madhusūdana Sarasvatī’s ṭīkā as far as possible omitting certain details which would have been heavy for common public.
We thank Sri. Shrivathsa B for allowing us to share these discourses through our portal.
