Ratnāvalī is a drama in 4 acts, composed by the royal poet Harṣa. It belongs to the genre of Nāṭikā, which is one of the 18 upa-rūpakas. The main rasa is śṛṅgāra, with the famous king Udayana/Vatsarāja as the hero, and the princess Ratnāvalī as the heroine. Ratnāvalī is heavily inspired by the plot and style of Mālavikāgnimitra of Kālidāsa.
